We focus 100% on the installation. We don't repair units put in by others, because we save our time and expertise for our own customers. When we install your unit, we handle all the ongoing servicing and repairs for the life of that unit.
Daikin manufactures most of their own components, which means tighter quality control and fewer failures over time. Here is what that means for your home.
Daikin's inverter compressor adjusts constantly rather than cycling on and off at full load. For every $1 of electricity used you get $3 to $5 of heat back. A bar heater gives you $1 for $1. The difference shows up on your bill every month.
The Cora and Zena Vogue run quietly enough for overnight use in a bedroom. Daikin carry Sensitive Choice NZ approval, one of the few brands that do. The outdoor units are just as quiet. We position them so your neighbours are not hearing a hum through their wall at midnight.
We only install brands with solid NZ distribution. Daikin has been in New Zealand for decades. If something needs fixing in 10 years, the parts exist and someone local knows how to fit them.
The Daikin Online Controller connects to your home wifi. Control it from your phone, set a weekly schedule, or check what it cost to run last month. No extra hardware or subscription needed.
From a single high-wall unit to a full ducted system, Daikin covers every home size and layout. If you want the same brand throughout your home, we can do that too.
Many Daikin models qualify for Warmer Kiwi Homes, which covers up to 90% of the installed cost capped at $3,450. Most eligible homeowners pay $400 to $700 out of pocket. Craig is a registered WKH provider.
We are not tied to one model or one type. These are the Daikin series we install most often on the North Shore, and what each one is suited to.
Heads up: The US7 is the only unit in NZ that brings in fresh air from outside. It needs a slightly larger hole in the wall than a standard install. If you have allergies or your home gets stuffy, there is nothing else like it, but flag it when you get in touch and we will plan the install accordingly.
Every install is different, but these are the typical ranges for supply and installation on the North Shore in 2026. Your free quote will give you a fixed price for your specific home.
Daikin Cora or Zena Vogue, supply and install. This range covers a back-to-back install, where the outdoor unit sits directly behind the indoor one through an exterior wall. If pipes need to run through the roof or under the floor, we price that up fairly on the day. No surprises.
One Daikin outdoor unit, multiple indoor heads. Price varies by number of rooms and pipe run length.
Fully hidden in ceiling or floor. Price depends on home size, number of zones and access for ducting.
For a full breakdown see our heat pump installation cost guide. Warmer Kiwi Homes subsidy can reduce the high-wall cost significantly if you qualify.
Wrong size and it runs flat out all day trying to keep up. Wrong position and the airflow is uneven, one end of the room warm, the other cold. We check four things before we quote:
Craig holds an EPA Refrigerant Handling Licence. A registered electrician handles all wiring. We leave the house tidy and walk you through the remote and app before we go. Every install is backed by a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
Most installers disappear once the unit is on the wall. We don't. We handle every service and repair for our own customers. Annual service to keep the warranty valid, a question three years down the track, anything that comes up: you call us. We installed it, we know it, and we'll look after it. We don't work on heat pumps we didn't install.
The Warmer Kiwi Homes grant covers up to 90% of the cost, capped at $3,450. Most eligible homeowners pay just $400 to $700 out of pocket. Craig is a registered provider and handles all the paperwork. Takes 2 minutes to check your eligibility.
How do I know which Daikin model is right for my room?
Room size matters, but so does insulation, ceiling height and which way the room faces. The Cora covers most single-room installs. If you are heating multiple rooms or the whole house, the multi split or ducted range is worth looking at. We assess the space first and tell you exactly which model fits before you commit to anything.
How long does the install take?
A standard high-wall Daikin install takes a few hours. Multi-split systems usually take a full day. Ducted systems take one to two days depending on the size of the home. We confirm the timeframe when we come out for the quote.
Do I need council consent to install a Daikin heat pump?
In most cases no. Heat pump installation is a permitted activity under the Building Act, so no consent is required. The main thing to watch is how close the outdoor unit is to your boundary, as there are noise rules that apply. We check all of this at quote time.
What warranty does a Daikin come with?
Daikin offers a 5-year parts and labour warranty on all split, multi-split and ducted heat pumps professionally installed in NZ homes. That covers both the unit and the cost of labour if something needs fixing. Our installation work is separately covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee on top of that.
Can I get a Daikin on the Warmer Kiwi Homes subsidy?
Yes, many Daikin models qualify. The subsidy covers up to 90% of the installed cost, capped at $3,450, for eligible homeowners. Craig is a registered WKH provider and can check your eligibility when you get in touch.
Do you install Daikin across the whole North Shore?
Yes. We cover Takapuna, Devonport, Milford, Birkenhead, Glenfield, Albany, Silverdale, the East Coast Bays and the Hibiscus Coast. If you are not sure whether we reach your area, give us a call.

Check my eligibility →We install all major brands and we are not paid more to recommend one over another. If you are weighing up Daikin against Mitsubishi Electric or Fujitsu, here is the honest short version: Daikin tends to win on air quality features like the US7 and the Zena Vogue design range, Mitsubishi Electric on noise levels and build quality, and Fujitsu on value at the entry level. All three are solid. The right one depends on your room, your budget and what matters most to you.
